What to do if you are experiencing abuse in your relationship

  • If you have been threatened or assaulted call 911 immediately (24 hours)
  • For immediate shelter call the Minnesota Domestic Violence Crisis Line at 1-866-223-1111
  • National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-SAFE
  • Get a restraining order or protection order to keep the abusive person away from you. Call the county where you live for assistance.
